Griggsville woman facing drug charges after car she was passenger in gets stopped for speeding

PLEASANT HILL — A Griggsville woman is facing multiple drug charges after being arrested during a traffic stop on Wednesday.

The Pike County Sheriff’s Department and Pleasant Hill Police Department conducted a traffic stop at 7:39 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, in the 700 block of West Quincy Street on a white 2003 Chevrolet minivan for the offense of speeding. The driver was arrested on charges of driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and speeding. She was released pending a court appearance.  

A passenger, Buffy N. Burbridge, 28, was arrested on charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of hypodermic syringes.  

Burbridge is lodged in the Pike County Jail.
