Adams County Sheriff’s Office announces Labor Day ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign results

QUINCY — The Adams County Sheriff’s Office made one DUI arrest during its recent “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Labor Day campaign. Other citations and arrests were:

  • 3 traffic warrants – 1 felony warrant
  • 3 consumption of alcohol by a minor citations
  • 3 uninsured motor vehicle citations
  • 1 disobeying a traffic control device citation
  • 5 speeding citations
  • 2 no valid driver’s license citations
  • 1 fleeing to elude citation
  • 1 failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident citation
  • 1 reckless driving citation
  • 1 driving while license suspended citation

“As law enforcement officers, we do our best to protect motorists, pedestrians and other road users,” Sheriff Rich Wagner said in a press release. “While enforcement campaigns like these save lives, there is still much to be done. Please help us spread the message: ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.’”

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety partners throughout the state for the Labor Day traffic safety campaign. The program was made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
