Bauer named Villa Kathrine’s volunteer of year

QUINCY — Pat Bauer was named the 2022 Villa Kathrine Volunteer of the Year during the Friends of the Castle’s 43rd annual meeting on Sept. 13 on the lawn of the Villa Kathrine. 

The Friends of the Castle are celebrating 35 years of operating Quincy’s official tourist information center in the parlor of the Villa Kathrine. During that time, volunteers have served more than 160,000 visitors from all 50 states and 100 different countries of the world. 

Quincy Mayor Mike Troup read the proclamation during the meeting declaring Sept. 7, 2022, as “Friends of the Castle Day.”
