Blaschke, Preston named homecoming king and queen at Culver-Stockton

CANTON, Mo. — Max Blaschke of Maple Plain, Minn., and Grace Preston of Taylor Ridge, Ill., were named the homecoming king and queen during the one-day homecoming celebration at Culver-Stockton College on Sept. 25.

Homecoming coronation took place during halftime of the football game. The winners in each category were voted on and selected by current C-SC students.

Freshman Prince: Noah Crenshaw, Canton, Mo.
Freshman Princess: Jaden Griffin, Lenexa, Kan.
Sophomore Prince: Sam Morgan, Columbia, Ill.
Sophomore Princess: Morgan Broadwell, Carthage, Iowa
Junior Prince: Ahmed Barrow, St. Louis
Junior Princess: Trinity Burton, LaHarpe, Ill.
Faculty and Staff Royalty: Angie Royal, dean of students, and Bill Boxdorfer, director of student engagement

A marching band competition was held during the homecoming parade. Canton won the junior high school division. Green City won the high school division, followed by Scotland County and Palmyra.

The annual parade was sponsored by Primo’s, which provided gift certificates to the winning entries. Float winners were based on workmanship, parade theme and originality. First place went to Jeff Whiston, Farm Bureau. Second place went to Homebank, and third place went to Lewis County Nursing Home.
