CANTON, Mo. — Culver-Stockton College recently announced the creation of a program designed for people whose education was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

College Restart will pay half of the tuition for transfer students who paused their degree, as well as 2020 high school graduates who took a gap year due to the pandemic. This discount will be applied after all grants and scholarships have been applied to their first semester of enrollment at Culver-Stockton.

Many students had their educational journey disrupted by COVID-19 during the past 18 months. Some students chose to alter their studies to online or hybrid classes. Others paused their education entirely until the college landscape returned to normal.

“We have heard countless stories of students who chose to take a gap year, or pause their education, and are ready to begin again,” C-SC President Douglas B. Palmer said in a press release. “These young people had their journey disrupted by a global pandemic, and we want to help make their return to the classroom less of a financial burden.”

Enrollment for the College Restart program will be honored through the fall 2021 semester. Students must provide an academic record of transfer or pause in enrollment as a component of the admissions process. For more information regarding the College Restart program, contact the Office of Admissions at admissions@culver.edu or 800-537-1883.
