Area artists invited to submit works for ORiGINALE

Last year’s ORiGINALE exhibit and competition garnered 103 original works by 57 area artists. Recipients of the two Best of Show awards in 2021 were Betty Smith and Kelly Eddington. HANNIBAL, Mo. — Area artists living within a 50-mile radius of Hannibal are encouraged to submit original works of art to the Hannibal Art Club’s 58th annual area artist exhibit and competition, ORiGINALE. 

The exhibit and competition will be on display Sept. 23 to Oct. 29. More than $3,000 in prize money will be awarded.

Area artists wishing to submit work for the exhibit and competition should bring their work to the Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main, from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16, or from 11 a.m-2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17. Entries are limited to two per artist, with a $15 entry fee per item. The entry fee for Hannibal Art Club members is $10 per entry. Any 2-D and 3-D media are acceptable except for photography or computer-generated art.  All worked submitted must be original.
