CANTON, Mo. — Culver-Stockton College recently promoted Angie Royal to vice president of student experience and Julie Straus to the role of vice president for finance and chief financial officer.

Royal joined C-SC in July 2021 as the dean of Student Life. As vice president for student experience, Royal will oversee and guide the student experience and supervise Student Life, Campus Safety and Dining Services.

In a press release, President Douglas B. Palmer said, “Angie’s proven leadership within student engagement, restorative approach to counseling our students, and her representation of the C-SC values is well deserving of the vice president role.”

Straus previously served as division chair for the Business, Education and Law division. She holds a CPA and has been an instructor at C-SC since 2008. In her new role, she will oversee the college’s financial budget and supervise human resources, student accounts and facilities.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have Julie leading our financial decisions,” Palmer said. “She has been a trusted advisor for many years, and she is ready to lead the college into this next season of growth.”

Other promotions were:

  • Tammy Ellison to Director of Instructional Technology and IT Operations
  • Seth McBride to interim chair for Business, Education and Law Division
  • Tim Williams to interim dean of Student Life.
