THE DETAILS

Bob and Brittany fill in for the always-vacationing Ashley to launch the Great Quincy Sandwich Debate Poll. You have two weeks to vote, but you can only vote once (unless you’re sneaky).

Also, the Covered Bottoms Diaper Drive is coming up and we talk to the organizers.

National Diaper Need Awareness Week is scheduled for Sept 18-24. The week draws attention to the issue of diaper need in the United States.

Covered Bottoms Diaper Bank is getting ready to celebrate its three-year milestone since the inception of its 501(c)3 status in September 2020. Since then until now, 414,711 diapers have been distributed to local agencies.

To celebrate its third year and to draw attention to National Diaper Need Awareness Week, Covered Bottoms Diaper Bank will have a diaper drive and fundraising event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Sam’s Club, 700 N. 54th. CBDB will be accepting donations of diapers size newborn thru size 6 along with wipes and monetary contributions. Individuals or corporations wanting to donate to the local diaper bank can donate online by going to https://www/coveredbottoms.org or send checks to Covered Bottoms Diaper Bank, 510 Maine, Suite 610, Quincy, Ill., 62301.
