Quincy High School’s 68th production of New Faces hits stage March 30, April 1-2

New Faces

QUINCY — The Quincy High School production of “New Faces” will come to life at 7 p.m. on March 30 and April 1 and at 2 p.m. on April 2 in the QHS Theatre, 3322 Maine.

Started in 1955 by band director Dan Perrino, the 68th edition of this annual variety show will feature the talents of more than 150 Quincy High School students. The theme of this year’s show, “Starry Night,” highlights the multi-talented instrumentalists, singers, dancers and actors of QHS.

The QHS Jazz Bands and the QHS Show Choirs will anchor the production with many individual acts complementing the two-act presentation.

The QHS Jazz Band, under the direction of Jeff Duffy, will open the first act. The QHS Show Choir, “Electric Blue,” directed by Ben Dombroski and Paul Shelor, will begin the second act. Rock bands, contemporary Christian songs and dances, Q-City Drumline and SKA Bands will perform in individual acts. Dance ensembles from Heinze Dance Academy, Kaiser Dance Studio, QHS Q-City Sommers and the QHS Colorguard also will perform.

All seats are reserved. Doors open 30 minutes before showtime.
