Saxophone Day scheduled for Dec. 3 at Quincy University

QUINCY — Quincy University’s music department will be the host of a Saxophone Day for high school students from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 3 in the Connie Niemann Center for Music at QU’s North Campus, 18th and Seminary Road.

The day will bring together local high school saxophone players to form a saxophone choir. Participants will spend the afternoon rehearsing music, learning about the saxophone, participating in a saxophone choir and listening to a performance by the QU saxophone quartet. All abilities are welcome. The cost is free. Lunch and snacks are included. The day will end with a concert at 6:30 p.m. for family and friends.
