Quincy Police Department announces ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign numbers

QUINCY — The Quincy Police Department recently announced it issued 51 citations during the Memorial Day “Click It or Ticket” enforcement period.
“Through the Memorial Day enforcement campaign, we helped make Illinois roads safer and spread the word that seat belts save lives,” Sgt. Ryan Witt said in a press release.
During the enforcement period, the Quincy Police Department wrote 16 citations for seat belt violations and took the following additional actions:
- 0 child car seat citations
- 1 felony arrest
- 0 stolen vehicles recovered
- 0 fugitives apprehended
- 6 suspended/revoked license
- 7 uninsured motorist citations
- 34 speeding citations
- 28 speeding warnings
- 0 reckless driving citations
- 1 drug arrest
- 11 other warnings
