Altrusa Literacy Carnival helps put a wrap on Summer School at Lincoln-Douglas

n 2019, the club began sponsoring a literacy carnival for the K-5 students attending summer school in the Quincy Public Schools. Students are treated to games centered around reading and writing.  Prizes such as journals, notepads, pens and pencils are also given in order to carry out the theme. In addition, each student has the opportunity to choose a book and bookmark.
