Personally, I found this information the most interesting so far in our Cuisine Week facts and figures  … Welcome to today’s three thoughts that make up Vol. 1,308 of The Daily Dirt

1. He’s the leader of the free world and he loves a good McDonald’s quarter pounder.

President Donald Trump makes no secret about his affection for fast food. According to published reports, here are The Donald’s top picks concerning his favorite intakes as we continue our march through The Daily Dirt’s inaugural Cuisine Week:

  • 1. Eggs and bacon for an early meal. He prefers “the bacon medium and the eggs over-well”.
  • 2. McDonald’s sandwiches. He “loves the Big Mac and the Quarter Pounder”. But he always removes the pickles. Good man. An aide reports that Trump likes to request two quarter-pounders and large fries for his go-to order.
  • 3. The president also loves McDonald’s fish sandwiches, referring to them as the “Fish Delight”. Another solid choice.
  • 4. Well-done steak (the only way!), according to a longtime confidant.
  • 5. Ice cream, which The Donald absolutely adores. His favorite is cherry vanilla.
  • 6. KFC, including the biscuits and sides.
  • 7. Meat loaf. He once appeared on Martha Stewart’s TV show, featured in an episode called “Meat Loaf with The Donald”.
  • 8. Pizza, and lots of it. Another aide said the president’s four main food groups are McDonald’s, KFC, pizza and Diet Coke. An interesting note, however, concerning Trump’s pizza-eating habits: He never eats the crust.
  • 9. Starburst, but he only eats the red and pink ones.
  • 10. Diet Coke. The Prez does not drink coffee, tea or alcohol. He downs about a dozen Diet Cokes each day.

Honorable mention: Doritos, Lay’s Potato Chips.

The three foods Trump hates

1. Broccoli: He says it looks like a miniature tree and should be planted in the garden.

2. Fish of any kind: Although he loves a McDonald’s fish sandwiches. Go figure.

3. Tacos: Too many people touching them, he says. But a good taco salad on the other hand …

2. Did you know (Part 388)

  • That butterflies taste with their feet.
  • That a “jiffy” is an actual unit of time: 1/100th of a second.
  • That a shark is the only fish that can blink with eyes.
  • That a snail can sleep for as long as three years.
  • That Leonardo Da Vinci invented scissors.
