PITTSFIELD, Ill. — In just its first year since re-establishment, the Pike County 4-H Foundation has made a difference for local youths from awarding its first scholarship to helping a 4-H member attend the 2025 Illinois 4-H Junior Livestock Conference.

This early momentum has inspired continued community support. CNB Bank & Trust recently renewed its commitment to the foundation with a generous $1,000 donation.

“We are incredibly grateful to CNB Bank & Trust for their continued partnership,” Jeff Galle, chair of the Pike County 4-H Foundation, said in a press release. “Their support helps us provide life-changing opportunities for our 4-H members. This year’s scholarship and our support for the Junior Livestock Conference are just the beginning.”

The foundation members are Galle (chair), Jenna Morrow (vice chair), Cheri Myers (secretary/treasurer), Jim Sheppard and Mike Vose.

“The foundation gives community members a way to support Pike County 4-H directly and meaningfully,” said Shelby Crow, Illinois Extension county director. “Every dollar donated stays in Pike County and goes toward helping our youth grow into confident, capable leaders.”

The foundation plans to expand its impact through additional scholarships, program funding and community outreach initiatives.
