Adams County Democratic Party to hold summer cookout July 31 at Machinists Lodge

QUINCY — The Adams County Democratic Party will hold a summer cookout from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, at the Machinists Lodge 822, 2929 N. Fifth.
Jess Piper, executive director of Blue Missouri, will be the featured speaker. Known as the “Dirt Road Democrat,” Piper is a former educator and an advocate for public schools and rural communities.
Cost is $20 for the meal with either a pork loin chop or a vegetarian option. Sides are salad, baked beans and dessert with water or soda to drink. This is a dine-in only event. A 50/50 drawing will be available.
Funds raised will be used to help elect Democrats in Adams County.
