Ronny Ferrel Hannibal Aquatic Center to recognize employees with Summer Spotlight Employee of the Week program

HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal Parks and Recreation is paying tribute to employees at the Ronny Ferrel Hannibal Aquatic Center this summer with a special award each week. Ashley Davis, a freshman at Quincy University, has been named as the first Summer Spotlight Employee of the Week. Davis is in her first year as front desk/concession/slide attendant.
Davis said the most rewarding part of the job is seeing the youngsters have fun and laugh while they’re at the pool. Her favorite song to hear on the lifeguard stand is “Delta Dawn” and her favorite concession stand treat is a sundae cone.
In a press release, Emily Hultgren, aquatics director, said, “Ashley has been an incredible addition to the team in her first year at the aquatic center. Even on our busiest days, she remains calm, collected and professional. She consistently brings a positive attitude, always greeting everyone with a smile. What’s even more impressive is that she never complains — no matter how hectic things get. Ashley’s dedication and positive energy make a big difference, and we’re lucky to have her!
Each Summer Spotlight Employee will receive prizes from McDonalds, Tom Boland Ford, Coffee Barn, Java Jive and Families and Communities Together.
