High school students invited to learn about healthcare careers at expo being held Friday, Aug. 1

QUINCY — Area high school students interested in a healthcare career are invited to “Explore Blessing” on Friday, Aug. 1. The event will feature a hospital tour and career expo beginning at 8 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m.
The event is free but registration is required with a deadline of noon on Wednesday, July 30. Register at blessinghealth.org/exploreblessing.
Those attending will:
- Hear from Human Resources staff about entry level positions and benefits provided by the Health System, as well as educational opportunities at Blessing-Rieman College of Nursing & Health Sciences and John Wood Community College.
- Explore the floors of Blessing Hospital during a tour. In addition to direct patient care units, students will hear about careers in environmental services, childcare, food and nutrition, revenue cycle and more.
- Meet leaders from across the Health System who will explain the role of their departments and provide information on career pathways.
Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend, but it is not required.
