Controversial court case involving Judge Adrian goes viral
It’s funny how regardless of where you’re from, you always seem to have a bit of a self-inflated opinion of the importance of your hometown.
It’s not just a Quincy thing like many natives believe it to be (which is sort of the crux of the matter). Hometown pride is great. We all need boosters and pommers. However, there also is the need to dial it back and take a look at reality with non-rose colored glasses.
Cases in point below:
No question the parental supervision by the hosts of the party where the incident took place was lacking. The parents of both the young lady and the young man in question are defending their children as any parent would.
I think it is fair to ask these questions.
What if the family of the young man in question had not had the wherewithal to hire a top-notch attorney?
Or what if he had been black?
Do you believe he would be free today?
