UPDATE:

At 5:45 PM on 2/01/22, Mayor Mike Troup declared a snow emergency for the City of Quincy. As of 10:00 AM on Wednesday, February 2, the National Weather Service reports that Adams County has received anywhere from 6 to 10 inches of snow. Forecasters predict another 2 to 3 inches of snow over the next 12 hours. Most area roadways are snow covered and dangerous for travel.

Mayor Troup has extended the snow emergency declaration through 6:00 PM Thursday, February 3. This extension will give road crews time to continue their work. Public Safety personnel continue to respond to traffic crashes, motorist assists, down power lines and emergency calls for service.

In addition to the amount of snow we have received, and anticipate getting throughout the day, high winds and drifting snow are causing considerable issues. If you do not have to travel it is recommended you stay home.

Quincy Mayor Mike Troup has declared a SNOW EMERGENCY. Quincy residents are reminded to move cars and vehicles from all Snow Emergency routes. The Snow Emergency takes effect when three inches of snow has accumulated on the ground. Vehicles left parked on a street that is a designated Snow Emergency Route are subject to tow.
