QUINCY — A Hannibal, Mo., man is lodged without bond in the Adams County Jail after he was removed from a vehicle stuck in the snow.

Deputies with the Adams County Sheriff’s office found a vehicle at approximately 3 p.m. Wednesday that appeared to be stuck in the snow in the area of 12th and Monroe. Deputies approached the vehicle to assist the seemingly stranded motorist and found a white male who appeared to be unconscious in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Deputies woke the male driver, who appeared to be under the influence. However, he refused to unlock and open the doors.

While deputies attempted to communicate with the driver, they observed him attempting to conceal suspected narcotics on his person and inside the vehicle. The driver then attempted to flee the scene in the vehicle. However, he could not because the vehicle was already stuck in the snow.

Deputies ultimately gained access to the vehicle and took the male driver into custody. The male was identified as Zachary M. Sinclair, 28. Sinclair was charged with possession of a controlled substance, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, petition to revoke probation warrant and a Missouri parole violation warrant. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Quincy Police Department.
