Rokusek appears in court; more charges officially added

QUINCY — A former Quincy businessman now living in St. Louis was formally charged Monday with four more counts of non-consensual video taping of females while they were showering at his office.

John Rokusek, 59, was arrested Nov. 4 and now faces nine counts of unauthorized videotaping, Class 4 felonies, for the non-consensual video recordings of Jane Doe and her co-workers. His bond, set at $100,000, was modified to acknowledge his change of residency to Missouri.

The four additional charges of unauthorized videotaping allegedly occurred on Nov. 16, 2020; Dec. 27, 2020; Oct. 24, 2021; and Nov. 1, 2021.

Rokusek appeared in court before Judge Tad Brenner. He did not make a scheduled appearance last week because of inclement weather.

Rokusek’s company, Rokusek Design, 519 S. 18th, paid for employees to engage in personal training at a gym outside the office as well as for a masseuse to visit the office weekly to provide massages to employees in a massage room. Periodically following these activities, employees would change clothes and use the shower facilities at the office.

Rokusek also is being sued in civil court by one of his former employees for the unauthorized video recording. The employee claims she found an iPhone belonging to Rokusek in a cabinet that was used to record her while she showered.

Rokusek’s next court appearance is March 9.
