Local Healthcare Providers: “Get vaccinated and boosted, and mask up according to the rules of your state, local jurisdiction and your conscience”
To the residents of the communities we proudly serve, a wish for a happy and healthy 2022 from your west central Illinois, northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa healthcare providers.
We know COVID-19 has put tremendous stress on you and your community. Our caregivers feel that stress also. The past 24 months have been exhausting. Many of us have lost loved ones due to COVID, and we continue to face fear of the unknown as new variants appear.
We believe the region wants nothing more than a return to normal. We also believe you would agree a return to normal must include ensuring our communities are safe and stay healthy. On behalf of everyone who provides healthcare in the region, we promise to do everything we can to make sure that happens in 2022. We are assisting our communities and agencies, as well as our schools, as they begin to hold events and conduct them safely.
However, we need your help. Get vaccinated and boosted, and mask up according to the rules of your state, local jurisdiction and your conscience. Stay home when you are not feeling well and get tested.
Our wish for you in 2022 is simple – think about yourself, your spouse, your mother, your father, your siblings, your children, your friends, and take steps to protect yourself and those around you. You don’t want to look back and think, “what if?”
We are here to support you and be your healthcare partner through this difficult time.
Thank you. Let’s have a great 2022 and if you get the chance, thank your local caregivers.
Sincerely – your healthcare providers,
Maureen A. Kahn — President/Chief Executive Officer Blessing Hospital & Blessing Health System
Kathy Hull — Administrator, Illini Community Hospital & Blessing Health Keokuk
Brian E. Dietz — President/Chief Executive Officer, McDonough District Hospital
Carol Brockmiller — Chief Executive Officer, Quincy Medical Group
