Polar Plunge set for Saturday; temps will be in the teens

QUINCY — Registration for the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Quincy University football field, with the plunge taking place at noon.

The Polar Plunge is for any person or team who would like to support Special Olympics athletes. Join members of the Quincy Police Department and the Adams County Sheriff’s Office to show support. Following the event, The Abbey will be the host of a post-plunge celebration and awards ceremony, along with food and drinks.
