Two arrested in Pleasant Hill meth bust

PLEASANT HILL, Ill. — On February 28 at 4:43 P.M., the West Central Illinois Task Force, Pike County Sheriff’s Department, and Pleasant Hill Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at a residence located in the 300 block of Mound Street, Pleasant Hill.

Following the execution of the warrant the following suspects were arrested and lodged in the Pike County Jail: 

Phillip R. Stauffer, 25, of Pleasant Hill was arrested and charged with:

  • Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine,
  • Unlawful Possession of Firearms/Firearms Ammuntion,
  • Resisting Arrest,
  • Pike County, Illinois Failure to Appear Warrant,
  • Calhoun County, Illinois Failure to Appear Warrant.

Nickie M. Shewmake, 27, Pleasant Hill was arrested and charged with:

  • Unlalwful Possession of Methamphetamine,
  • Obstructing Justice,
  • Concealing or Aiding a Fugitive.
