QMG offering tours of QMG Cancer Institute to recognize National Cancer Survivors Day
QUINCY — National Cancer Survivors Day is recognized each year on the first Sunday of June to honor everybody impacted by cancer.
Quincy Medical Group is inviting people to visit the QMG Cancer Institute, 3301 Broadway at the Quincy Town Center, from 9-11 a.m. on Sunday, June 6 to honor Quincy’s cancer patients and survivors. Tours of the facility will take place at 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
“National Cancer Survivors Day is a time to gather in support of and encouragement of all those who have faced a cancer diagnosis,” QMG Community Support Specialist Kayla Baumann said. “We want them to feel the love of our community and know we are with them.”
As part of the event, QMG staff will debut the Memorial Wall at the QMG Cancer Institute. Brunch will be provided by Panera Bread and Hy-Vee, and guests also will receive gifts from Momma Bee’s Garden and others. QMG asks people to wear masks while inside the QMG Cancer Institute.
