Quincy School Board considering purchase of K&L Arena
QUINCY — The Quincy School Board has an item on Wednesday’s agenda to “consider/approve contingency contract to purchase real estate at 1600 N. 43rd.”
That property is where K&L Arena is located, a multipurpose sports facility owned by Greg and Deb Shierling. Mays LLC Realtors is handling the sale of the property.
The 5.32-acre property was put up for sale in March 2015. The asking price at the time was around $2.4 million.
K&L Arena opened in November 2005 and was the site of many indoor volleyball, basketball and soccer games for youths. It also was the home for the Quincy Kennel Club.
