Three Quincyans jailed, face charges of sexual abuse against minors

QUINCY — Two women and a man were arrested this week and face charges of sexual abuse against minors.

Detectives from the Quincy Police Department began working on multiple unrelated cases several months ago after receiving reports of possible child sexual abuse. Multiple children were interviewed, and searches were conducted on suspects’ electronic devices and social media. Both the Department of Child and Family Services and the Advocacy Network for Children were involved and assisted in the investigations.

Amanda Toolate, 42, of 323 College was arrested on an original warrant at approximately 11:!5 p.m. Tuesday. She was charged with one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of domestic battery. She is lodged in the Adams County Jail. Her bond has been set at $150,000.

Courtney Sprinkle, 31, was arrested near her residence at 620 Washington at approximately 3:10 p.m. Wednesday. She was charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and two counts of child pornography. She is lodged in the Adams County Jail. Her bond has been set at $65,000.

Cameron R. Marold, 19, of 1140 S. 20th was arrested in 800 block of N. 12th on an original warrant at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday. He was charged with one count of criminal sexual assault, one count of criminal sexual abuse and three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He is lodged in the Adams County Jail. His bond has been set at $150,000.
