Large machinery and equipment can be scheduled to cross Bayview Bridge during overnight hours

QUINCY — Large machinery and equipment now can cross the Bayview Bridge while work is completed on the Memorial Bridge.

People who want to cross Bayview Bridge with large machinery and equipment must call the Quincy/Adams County dispatch center at 217-222-9360. Officers will be dispatched to the bridge to block traffic so the equipment can cross between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The Quincy Police Department asks drivers with large machinery or equipment not to cross the bridge until told to do so by an officer on scene or from the dispatch center.
