HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal Arts Council fills its galleries each April with the Young Masters exhibit — select works by Hannibal’s fifth grade, eighth grade and high school students, including both public and parochial schools.

Participating schools are A.D. Stowell Elementary, Holy Family 5th and 8th grades, Mark Twain Elementary, Oakwood Elementary, Veterans Elementary, Hannibal Middle School 8th grade and select Hannibal High School students taught by Lisa Wiese, James Zimmerman and Christina Strode.

The exhibit is on display at the Hannibal Arts Council through April 26. Select students from each grade level will be recognized with awards each night. The Hannibal High School Art Department art instructors will give additional awards specifically for participating HHS students. The closing awards for 5th and 8th grades will be held from 4-6 p.m. April 25, with the high school closing awards to be presented from 4-6 p.m. April 26.

The exhibit is sponsored by First State Insurance Agency and General Mills Hometown Grantmaking Program in cooperation with the Missouri Arts Council. For more information on this and other HAC programs, contact the HAC at 573-221-6545 or findit@hannibalarts.com.
