Congresswomen Boebert and Miller to be in Quincy Saturday
QUINCY — Congresswomen Mary Miller (R-IL) and Lauren Boebert (R-CO) will be in Quincy on Saturday as part of a “Defend the Second Amendment Rally”.
Miller is running in the June 28 15th District Republican primary against Congressman Rodney Davis (R-IL) as both were lumped in the same Congressional District following redistricting controlled by Illinois Democrats. Adams, Hancock, Pike and Brown Counties are all included in the new Illinois 15th.
Boebert and Miller are both members of the House Freedom Caucus, a Conservative bloc of the Republican membership. Boebert has made national headlines for wanting to carry a gun for protection while in the U.S. Capitol.
The event is secheduled for Saturday, April 30 at 1 pm at the Quincy Holiday Inn, 4821 Oak. Admission is free, but donations will be accepted at the door.
