QND’s Ozment, QHS’s Pasley receive scholarships from Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis
QUINCY – Two scholarships recently were awarded by the Gem City Breakfast Kiwanis Club to local graduating seniors. The scholarship assists one student from Quincy Notre Dame and one from Quincy High School who have been a Kiwanis Key Club member for at least two school years.
Katie Ozment from Quincy Notre Dame and Erica Pasley from Quincy High School are this year’s recipients. Ozment is a daughter of Dennis and Mollie Ozment. She plans on attending the University of Iowa and pursue a degree in nursing. Pasley is a daughter of Sara Pasley and the late Michael Pasley. She plans on attending Casper College to pursue degrees in biology and pre-med with further plans of attending medical school.
The scholarship will reimburse up to $500 in collegiate book expenses for the 2021-22 school year.
Special attention is given to each student’s level of involvement in the community through volunteering and impact. ,Applicants must write an essay about his or her most exciting Key Club community service project or achievement.
