Art for the Health of It exhibit at the Hannibal Clinic runs through the end of June
HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Art for the Health of It exhibit at the Hannibal Arts Council’s satellite gallery in the Hannibal Clinic features works by Tim O’Neal through the end of June.
O’Neal lives in Quincy, Ill., and paints primarily in oils. When he started working on art at home, he used Prismacolor pencils because of the ease of starting and stopping easily. Once O’Neal retired, he transitioned to oils, which he said was like starting from scratch. He learned how to blend colors and utilize a glazing technique to create depth and luminosity.
The year-round, rotating exhibits showcase local artists, celebrate creativity and provide a space to be uplifted. The partnership between the Hannibal Arts Council and Hannibal Clinic was established in 2016.
