QUINCY — Stefan K. Crider III received a sentence of seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections following a plea deal with the Adams County State’s Attorney’s office.

Crider, 31, was charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm following a July 2020 drive-by shooting on Ill. 57.

According to the deal, Crider plead guilty to the aggravated discharge of a firearm charge, which is a Class 2 Felony. He received seven years in prison, with credit served for 660 days in the Adams County Jail. He will also receive two years of supervised release following the end of his sentence.

Crider and Donte M. Clausell, 33, were arrested one month following the shooting, where no one was injured. Clausell also was charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm and is in federal custody on a separate firearms-related charge.
