Camp Point man, 79, arrested and jailed after two-month sexual exploitation investigation

CAMP POINT, Ill. — A 79-year-old Camp Point man was arrested Tuesday and is facing several charges following a two-month long child sexual exploitation investigation conducted by investigators with the Adams County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies with the sheriff’s department executed a search warrant at the home of Roy A. Sutton, and he was taken into custody and transported to the Adams County Jail. Sutton has been charged with aggravated predatory criminal sexual assault, indecent solicitation of a child, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and threatening a public official.
