MACOMB/MOLINE, Ill. — Western Illinois University announced six new online degree programs will begin in the fall semester of 2022 — bachelor’s degrees in business analytics, finance and emergency management and master’s degrees in applied statistics and decision analytics, accountancy and mathematics.

WIU College of Business and Technology dean Craig Conrad said the new online degree opportunities will allow the college to remain responsive to the needs of working professionals.

“Our goal is to support the workforce development needs of the communities we serve,” Conrad said in a press release.

Kristi Mindrup, vice president of Quad Cities campus operations, said, “Western’s new online academic programs align with the goals within the Quad Cities campus strategic plan. Each new program responds to student interests and our community’s call for flexible, innovative programs within high demand fields that contribute to the success of our region.”

Students can expect to work in a variety of fields including business, data processing, public service and more. These online programs were designed to be accessible for working professionals and students who want to stay in close proximity, as well as be flexible to meet the needs of students who are wanting a competitive quantitative edge that will position them toward high demand careers.

Students can apply now for all of the programs. For more information on online undergraduate or graduate programs available, visit wiu.edu/academics. To apply as an undergraduate student, visit wiu.edu/apply. For graduate students, visit wiu.edu/graduate_studies.
