United Way of Adams County announces 2022 annual campaign goal, leadership team
QUINCY — United Way of Adams County officially started its “Starts With You” campaign on Wednesday, Aug. 10 with an event at ONE Special Event Venue, 600 Hampshire. The 2022 campaign goal was announced.
Campaign leadership in 2022 will be Brooke and Bryan Stokes as campaign chairs. They will lead the fundraising efforts, along with United Way chief executive officer Jeremy Wingerter. Elisha and Tanner Freiburg will co-chair this year, preparing them for chair duties in 2023.
A social hour started at 5 p.m. followed by a short program at 6 p.m. that included a video premiere and goal announcement. Reservations were required. All proceeds for the event went to the 2022 annual campaign. Learn more at www.unitedwayadamsco.org/startswithyou.
“Adams County is a special place, and the overwhelming support we’ve received from the community
these past few years shows that,” Wingerter said in a press release. “Despite the challenges we all face, the needs of our community and our valued partner agencies remain. We hope Quincy and Adams County joins us in helping to provide the funding needed for the children and families we serve.”
The United Way of Adams County Board of Directors set a goal of $1.175 million for 2022. Officials urge
the community to give more than they have previously, or for the first time altogether, ensuring critical
services and programs United Way invests in continue uninterrupted for those that need it the most.
“A successful United Way campaign means people in Adams County have access to the services and
resources they need,” Brooke Stokes said. “This year is critical in so many ways. We’re hoping to keep our promise to those we serve by meeting and exceeding our goal. With everyone’s help, we know we can have another successful year and support those vital programs we invest in every year.”
