Illinois State Police announce roadside safety check results from 30th and State in Quincy

PITTSFIELD, Ill. — Illinois State Police District 20 Commander, Capt. Jody Huffman, recently announced the results of a roadside safety check held in Adams County from late night Wednesday, Aug. 31 to early morning Thursday, Sept. 1.

The check was conducted at the intersection of 30th and State in Quincy by District 20 officers.

Violations were:

  • Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Citations-0
  • Other Alcohol/Drug Citations-1
  • Occupant Restraint Offenses-2
  • Registration Offenses-3
  • Driver’s License Offenses-9
  • Insurance Violations-5
  • Total Citations/Arrests-15
  • Total Written Warnings-15

Alcohol and drug impairment are factors in more than 30 percent of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Illinois and throughout the U.S. Nearly 10,000 people die each year due to alcohol-impaired driving. RSCs are designed to keep roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the road.
