Informational program about CASA volunteers set for Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church
QUINCY — Danielle Buss, CASA manager at Advocacy Network for Children, will present “Change a Child’s Story – CASA” and provide information on becoming a CASA volunteer at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13 at Christ Lutheran Church, 333 S. 36th.
Buss has been with the agency for almost eight years and supervises six CASA coordinators in a seven-county area.
CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving abused and neglected children. CASA advocates are trained community volunteers appointed by a judge to speak up for abused or neglected children in court and work alongside attorneys and social workers.
This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments being served. Reservations are not required.
