Filing for nominating petitions for JWCC Board of Trustees begins Dec. 12
QUINCY — The dates for filing nominating petitions for a seat on the John Wood Community College Board of Trustees are Dec. 12-19, 2022.
Petitions must be filed in the office of the president on the third floor of the JWCC Student/Administrative Center on the campus at 48th and Harrison. Office hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m.-noon on Friday.
Any resident of the JWCC district interested in being a candidate may still obtain nominating petitions. Petitions are available in the same office.
The seats on the board will be filled in the consolidated election April 4, 2023. Trustees are elected at-large from JWCC District 539. Three seats are for full, six-year terms. Trustees whose terms are expiring are Bob Rhea, Larry Fischer and Diane Ary.
The election is conducted by the county clerk of each county in which JWCC is located. Nominating petitions are obtained and filed at JWCC in Quincy.
A lottery, if necessary, will be held on Dec. 20 at 8:30 a.m. in the Board room located on the third floor of the JWCC Student/Administrative Center.
