HAMILTON, Ill. — Kevin C. Taylor of Hamilton was arrested on Saturday and charged with possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Hancock County Sheriff’s deputy was on routine patrol and stopped a 2000 Buick for traffic violations at Seventh and Main in Hamilton at 12:24 a.m. The sheriff’s office canine was deployed, and an alert on the vehicle led to a search of the vehicle.

Taylor, 54, was lodged until an initial court appearance, after which he was released on his own recognizance.
