Hannibal woman arrested after investigation into sale of fentanyl

HANNIBAL, Mo. — A Hannibal woman is in the Marion County Jail facing drug charges after she was arrested Wednesday. 

A warrant was issued Thursday in the 10th Judicial Circuit Court of Marion County charging Erica R. Sydnor, 35, with trafficking drugs in the first degree. The charges are a result of an investigation by officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad regarding the sale of fentanyl. 

A search warrant was executed Wednesday in the 2100 block of Hope. A substance believed to be fentanyl was recovered. Sydnor was arrested after the investigation and placed on a 24-hour hold. Sydnor has a $100,000 cash-only bond.
