JWCC Workforce Development Center to be site of Wednesday open house for accelerated welding program

QUINCY — John Wood Community College will host an open house from 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday at JWCC’s Workforce Development Center, 4220 Koch’s Lane. The open house is free and for anyone interested in getting started with welding.

This accelerated welding program is two weeks shorter than the standard time frame. People will earn their welding certificate in 14 weeks and be job ready. Qualified individuals will receive funding for tuition, mileage, welding kits, books and internships paid for through Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
