Reckless Roseville driver faces several charges after arrest

LaHARPE, Ill. — A Roseville driver faces several charges after he was arrested at 6:43 p.m. Thursday.

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a reckless driver on Illinois 9 near LaHarpe. The vehicle was located by LaHarpe Police, who held it until deputies arrived and found the driver, Robert J. Waller, 37, had been driving while under the influence of drugs. He also had a suspended driver’s license and possessed less than five grams of methamphetamine.

Waller was arrested and transported to the Hancock County Jail. He is charged with driving while license suspended, driving under the influence of drugs, operating an uninsured vehicle and possession of less than five grams of methamphetamine.

Waller was released on a recognizance bond after his initial court appearance.
