QUINCY — Maverick Messmer Management LLC invites the community to an evening of rock with an appearance of The Damned Torpedoes, a Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers tribute band, happening Saturday, March 4, at State Street Theater.

The evening will open with southern rockers Nick Dittmeier and the Sawdusters from 5-7 p.m. followed by the headliner, The Damned Torpedoes, at 8 p.m.

The Damned Torpedoes, from Springfield, are a Tom Petty celebration tribute band. Concertgoers will enjoy classic rock favorites by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, including Billboard chart-topping hits and fan favorites.

The Damned Torpedoes band consists of five talented and enthusiastic performers. Steve Myers is the lead vocalist and also plays the six and 12-string guitars and harmonica. Ed Fliege is on keyboard and vocals, Charles Foxx is on bass, Joe Cook plays lead rhythm guitar and Troy Roard is on the drums and backup vocals.

Nick Dittimeier and the Sawdusters are from southern Indiana and play a wide variety of Americana, country and southern rock music. They have three EPs and three full albums.

Fans can attend a special VIP meet and greet from 3-5 p.m. where guests can mingle with the band, get a photo and autographs.

Food will be available from Calftown Café and Big Bros BBQ Food Truck.
