Clarity Healthcare, Adams County Health Department partner to offer assistance to Medicaid recipients
QUINCY — Continuous coverage for Medicaid recipients ends on March 31, 2023. Clarity Healthcare is partnering with the Adams County Health Department to provide assistance on how to retain coverage. Medicaid pays for a person’s healthcare, such as visits to a doctor and for medicine.
With the pandemic emergency ending, the continuous enrollment provision enacted by Congress for Medicaid will cease. Medicaid plans will go back to redetermination, a process states use to ensure Medicaid enrollees continue to be eligible for Medicaid coverage. The redetermination process begins with a renewal notice in the mail.
To continue your insurance, Illinois Medicaid must have a current address on file to send paperwork. To be ready to renew, current recipients should update their address with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services. Updating your address can be completed at medicaid.illinois.gov.
For those requiring assistance, an insurance navigator from Clarity Healthcare will be on site at the Adams County Health Department, 330 Vermont, throughout March to provide assistance on the end of continuous coverage. No appointment is necessary.
Insurance navigator assistance at Adams County Health Department in Quincy will be available on:
- Monday, March 13 | Noon-5 p.m.
- Monday, March 20 | Noon-5 p.m.
- Tuesday, March 28 | Noon-5 p.m.
