Tim Bliefnick charged with murder

QUINCY — Tim Bliefnick has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of home invasion in the shooting death of his estranged wife, Becky Bliefnick.

He was taken into custody by Quincy Police Monday morning.

QPD will have a news conference with more details later this morning.

Becky Bliefnick, a 41-year-old mother of three sons, was found dead Feb. 23 at her 2528 Kentucky Road home by a family member after she had been shot multiple times. 

On Wednesday, March 1, Quincy Police searched the car and 1641 Hampshire home of Tim Bliefnick.

Evidence gathered at the scene of the fatal shooting and from other locations has been sent to the Illinois State Police Crime Lab in Springfield.
