Quincy Noon Kiwanis to be host for 27th annual Bids for Kids charity auction starting Thursday

QUINCY — The Quincy Noon Kiwanis will be the host of the 27th annual Bids for Kids charity auction at noon on Thursday, March 30. The entire auction takes place online and runs through 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 2.

Bidders can register for free at bidsforkids.auction and be participating in minutes after a quick email verification. The auction includes more than 250 items, all donated by local individuals and businesses, such as autographed sports memorabilia, retail, spa, fitness, golf, home, lawn, automotive, dining and family fun.  

In a press release, auction co-chair Joe Bordewick said, “As a Kiwanian, one of the best days of the year is when we get to hand out checks to the local organizations that serve our kids.”

All proceeds from the auction are distributed either as grants to local organizations who serve kids or for one-on-one activities that directly engage kids in Quincy. Bids for Kids raised more than $50,000 in 2022. Grant applications must be received by April 30 to be considered and can be downloaded at kiwanisofquincy.org/grant
