On 03/24/2023 at 7:00 AM Tricia J. Barfield of Mt. Sterling struck a deer on US 24. No injuries were reported and damage to the vehicle was over $1500.00.

 On 03/23/2023 at 6:31 AM Michael T. Gadson of Mt. Sterling received a citation for Operating uninsured Vehicle on IL 99 at Hersman and given a court date of 04/24/2023.

On 03/25/2023 at 4:24 PM Steven W. Guyatt of Kankakee received a citation for Speeding 90/25 MPH Zone on Il 99 ½ mile south of Hersman and given a court date of 04/10/2023.
