Hurley transfers to become Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper in Clark, Scotland counties

CENTER, Mo. — Capt. Erik A. Gottman, commanding officer of Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, recently announced Trooper Kurtis A. Hurley has transferred from Troop C, Zone 9, serving the citizens of St. Charles County, to Troop B, Zone 6, serving the citizens of Clark and Scotland counties effective April 9.

Hurley was appointed to the Missouri State Highway Patrol as a member of the 109th recruit class on Jan. 6, 2020. After graduation, he was assigned Troop B, Zone 6, in Clark and Scotland counties. On Sept. 25, 2022, Hurley transferred from Troop B, Zone 6, Clark and Scotland counties to Troop C, Zone 9, St. Charles County.

Hurley graduated from Mark Twain High School in Center and obtained an associate of arts from Moberly Area Community College in Hannibal. Prior to his appointment to the Patrol, he was a corrections officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections.
