Missouri commission awards two contracts for bridge projects in Monroe County

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded two contracts during its regular meeting on April 5 for four bridge rehabilitation projects in the Northeast District.

A $1,182,615 contract was awarded to Bleigh Construction Company for a bridge replacement project on Route M in Monroe County over Milligan Creek, one mile west of Route Y, near Middle Grove.

A $2,486,413 contract was awarded to Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc., for three bridge deck replacement projects in Monroe County at the following locations:

  • Route D, over South Fork Salt River, one mile west or Route E, near Sante Fe.
  • Route J, over Middle Fork Salt River, 0.5 miles east of Route OO, near Duncans Bridge.
  • Route Z, over Brush Creek, approximately two miles north of Route D, near Strother.

Additional information regarding timelines and impacts to traffic will be released prior to the start of construction.
